ANDY SHEPPARD BRINGS NEW LIVE MUSIC AND VIDEO PROJECT TO STOUFFVILLE AS PART OF HIS CROSS-CANADA TOUR - Friday, November 25 / 8pm

“…heaven” – Dave Curtis, DirectCurrent.com

“…a tremendous guitarist” – Matt Galloway, CBC Radio

The Lebovic Centre for Arts & Entertainment – Nineteen on the Park proudly presents FIND THE OTHERS – performed by virtuoso guitarist Andy Sheppard on Friday, November 25 at 8pm. This concert, presented as part of the 2011/2012 Professional Series, is one of only two GTA stops on Andy’s cross-country tour – which takes him all the way from Halifax to Victoria.

Coaxing brave new sounds from a converted 69′ Martin steel guitar and a late-model laptop, award-winning artist Andy Sheppard stretches the boundaries of songwriting, drawing on contemporary rhythms, live looping, and ambient noise clips to create a mesmerizing performance. On November 1, 2011 he released his new music and visual project as FIND THE OTHERS.

This delicately emotional offering explores the contrasts between a quiet childhood in tobacco country and a frenetic life in the city. FIND THE OTHERS is inspired by ideas about connecting with creative peers. Collaborations on the disc and live show include an A-List of contributors; Isabella Rossellini, Andy McNeill, Snowblink, Mark Duggan, Jorn Andersen (Bruce Cockburn, David Wilcox), and Olivier Alary – well known for his work with Bjork. Striking visuals by Matt Hilliard-Forde (Buck 65, Emm Gryner), Graydon Sheppard (Feist, Hidden Cameras) and others are synchronized with the live music to create an immersive concert experience.
