2011/2012 PROFESSSIONAL SERIES ANNOUNCEMENT!
The Lebovic Centre for Arts & Entertainment – Nineteen on the Park is proud to announce the lineup for its upcoming 2011/2012 PROFESSIONAL SERIES. The theme for this season is “Up Close & Personal” – Nineteen on the Park’s intimate atmosphere and incredible acoustics provide audiences with a concert going experience that is unique throughout York Region.
Featuring 28 performances – spanning 6 different series – the 2011/2012 Professional Series includes amazing up and coming talent alongside some of Canada’s most respected musicians and theatre artists. We are also proud to showcase the talent of local performers by featuring 3 productions from Stouffville’s own MOTUS O dance theatre (including 2 world premieres) as well as a concert focusing on local musicians.
Our upcoming season delivers on our ongoing promise to present the BEST in arts & entertainment in downtown Stouffville.

Purchasing 3 or more events from any of our 6 series allows patrons to take advantage of subscriber pricing – which is 15% off the regular price.
LIVE MUSIC SERIES
DALA Friday, October 14 @ 8pm (Series Opener) – DALA has become one of the hottest selling folk-pop acts and they are poised to bring their fresh brand of acoustic pop music to the world. Past winners of the coveted Canadian Folk Music Award for “Best Vocal Group”, they have been nominated for a Juno Award. “Dala seem bound for a loftier place where substance stands equal to style.” – The Irish Times

THEATRE / DANCE SERIES
WHAT THE HECK? September 29 & 30, October 1 @ 8pm (Series Opener) – Dancing out politics, religion, corporate culture and sports? Can it be done? Should it be done? MOTUS O dance theatre brings all this and more to the stage in this new full length work. Exploring, illuminating and challenging our perceptions on how our society literally moves.
Other Theatre / Dance events: Hamlet {solo} – performed by Raoul Bhaneja (March 1 & 2, 2012) and The Cure for Everything – performed by Maja Ardal (April 19 & 20, 2012).
CLASSICAL MUSIC SERIES
Susan Hoeppner, flute & Simon Wynberg, guitar Nov. 2 @ 7pm (Series Opener) – With virtuosity and beautiful tones, flutist Susan Hoeppner, and guitarist and ARC Ensemble Artistic Director Simon Wynberg, join forces to present works by Marin Marais, Toru Takemitsu, Robert Beaser, and Astor Piazzolla. Our classical music events also feature an afternoon student masterclass.

FAMILY EVENT SERIES
THE MONKEY BUNCH October 23 @ 2pm (Series Opener) – The Monkey Bunch is for people who love music and want their kids to love it too. Nominated for a 2011 Juno Award and winner of the 2011 Indie Award for Children’s Group of the Year, the Monkey Bunch wants their music to be able to be played over and over without making a parent have a temper tantrum!

LIVE COMEDY SERIES
YUK YUKS On Tour October 27 @ 8pm (Series Opener) – Canada’s national stand-up comedy company will have you laughing until your sides hurt. Nineteen on the Park is the place to be for a night of roaring laughter and great fun. Get a group of friends together and have a great night out right in your own community!

CELEBRATE! Holidays of the Global Village Dec. 3 @ 11:30am (Series Opener) – Inspired by his travels around the world, Chris McKhool (Sultans of String) celebrates Canada’s multicultural mosaic with songs about Bodhi Day (Buddhist), Carnival (Quebec), Chanukah, Chinese New Year, Christmas, Diwali, Eid, Halloween, Kwanzaa, Native Traditions, Ramadan, Tu B’Shvat and Winter Solstice. Traditional and original songs by Chris encourage us to share with our neighbours and friends and celebrate together!
